Lipids obtained from seeds using the NatureFRESH Cold-Press Process™ are unadulterated by heat, solvents or additives and contain a rich and diverse range of protective phytochemicals. Some of these novel lipids contain the full range of eight different forms of natural vitamin E in the form of tocopherols and tocotrienols. Emolliency

Our novel botanical lipids are natural emollients. They prevent dryness and protect the skin, acting as a barrier and healing agent, as well as soothing and softening the skin. They reduce roughness, cracking and irritation and may even assist with retarding fine wrinkles. While water is the best emollient, it evaporates too quickly to be effective unless it is used in conjunction with oils in an emulsion. Natural botanical lipid emollients nourish the skin with concentrated nutrients.

Anti Inflammation COX-2 Inhibition

Many NatureFRESH-Cold press fruit and herb seed lipids possess high levels of Cox-2 inhibition activity according to laboratory work conducted by Liangli Yu, Ph.D., University of Maryland. The Cox-2 inhibition is in some cases over 250 times greater than aspirin. A number of the Botanic lipids were found to positively up regulate genes that are involved in inhibiting inflammation pathways, promote cell detoxification, and initiate defenses against bacterial infection. When compared to the over the counter steroid hydrocortisone, the NatureFRESH-Cold Press lipids were more bioactive in gene expression.
