Cold pressing preserves sunflower oil's natural antioxidants and other nutrients. Sunflower seed oil has a higher Vitamin E content than most other vegetable oils. This oil also has a high level of unsaturated fat. This all-purpose oil has a very light color and a high smoke point, at 440 degrees F. It is an excellent choice for frying and sauteing. Its delicate flavor is well suited for dressings and mayonnaise. Sunflower seed oil has many uses in cosmetics because of its excellent emollient properties.
